Kiki's Delivery Service - Stylized Experiment

A while back I wanted to broaden my horizons and try a more painterly approach to texturing a project, something that is not my usual style and out of my comfort zone. After watching the anime for the first time, I felt like making a small scene from Kiki's Delivery Service to test out this new process and try and learn some new skills and make something that isn't PBR based.

I followed a tutorial to build myself a base stylized material to then build each required material upon, keeping a consistency to the whole scene. I used Nomad sculpt on my tablet to sculpt high poly details onto the meshes and baked them down onto my low poly meshes using substance painter. My sculpting experience is still in it's early stages but I'm getting the hang of it 😅
