Due to unforseen changes in the games industry, I had a lot more time on my hands this October, so I decided to finish off some old projects.
This project was born from an art test I undertook a few years ago, aimed at creating a game-ready replica of a portion of a building, using only 4 texture sets and a 20,000 poly count limit. This led me to explore the use of trim sheets more than I had previously done, creating my own from scratch and using the repeated tiling materials to quickly and easily texture the asset in a uniform manner. I used 2 Trim sheets for the bulk of the building and used the remaining 2 texture sets for the Upstairs window and downstairs entryway and
I took the art test asset and built a scene around it in UE5.3, jazzing it up a little as I went and breathing more life into it, using a combination of megascans assets and some city props from the marketplace.
