AK-47 - Modern Variations

I was asked by a client to build a modular assault rifle for an in-engine weapon building system, aiming to create a vast range of weapon parts that worked together to create a highly customisable weapon system. With the choice of gun left to me, I chose to make the (in)famous AK-47 as I had attempted to make one back when I was learning how to model but I lacked the skills to do it. Now I know what I'm doing, I've finally been able to create what I had envisioned years ago.

Using a base version of the AK-47, I created a range of components that would fit into one of 4 variations but could all be used together in the customisation system. For the sake of showcasing the variations, I have split the project between the Modern parts (shown here) and the older, classic themed parts, which will be posted in a separate album.
